A Silver Alert was issued Wednesday evening on behalf of an 82-year-old man reported missing after last being seen in North Hollywood Wednesday afternoon.
Jose Rivera Lopez was last seen about 3:30 p.m. in the area of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Victory Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Lopez is Hispanic, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket, black pants, black boots and a gray baseball cap.
Anyone who has seen Lopez was asked to call 911.
A Silver Alert is activated when an elderly, developmentally or cognitively impaired person has gone missing and is determined to be at-risk to provide immediate information to the public to aid in the swift recovery of the at-risk person.
