A rapidly spreading 150-acre brushfire south of Thermal was 10% contained Saturday evening.
The fire was reported at 4:22 p.m. in the 81000 block of Johnson Street, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.
The fire was 10% contained as of 10 p.m. by lines of cleared vegetation, according to the department.
Firefighters from the Bureau of Indian Affairs were assisting in the firefight.
No injuries or evacuations were reported, according to the department.
