Firefighters put out flames involving hazardous materials in Garden Grove Saturday evening.
The fire was reported at 6:24 p.m. in the 12000 block of Western Avenue, near Chapman Avenue, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
The firefighters put out the flames and, at 7:20 p.m., were investigating to determine what the materials were involved, fire officials said.
Western Avenue was shut down for a time but southbound lanes were reopened after the fire was out, officials said.
