Gavin Rossdale, frontman for the English rock band Bush, has settled a lawsuit brought by the band’s former drummer, who alleges Rossdale wrongfully fired him and refused to pay him his cut of the band’s 2019 tour profits.

A clerk for Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Colin P. Leis issued a minute order Monday stating that Leis will retain jurisdiction of the case to enforce the accord between Rossdale, 58, and Robin Goodridge.

A hearing on whether the case should be dismissed will be held May 9, unless a request for dismissal is filed before then. No settlement terms were revealed in the minute order.

Goodridge also maintained that, as a founding Bush member, he owns 25% of the Bush trademark and wanted an injunction preventing the rest of the band from using the name.

“After Goodridge dedicated nearly three decades of his life playing the drums for English rock band Bush, Goodridge was abruptly and without cause kicked out of the band by his long-time bandmate, Rossdale,” the breach-of-contract suit filed Feb. 21 stated.

“His sudden dismissal was devastating to Goodridge and Bush fans around the globe.”
