A person was injured by a train Friday at the Metro Vermont/Athens Station and was taken to a hospital.
The injury was reported about 9:20 a.m. Friday at the station, which serves the C (Green) Line and is in a “below grade” level in the median area of the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway at Vermont Avenue. The severity of the injury was not immediately known.
Bus shuttles were arranged to accommodate rail passengers around the affected area, according to Metro.
