It was another good weekend for Warner Bros., which took three of the top four slots at this weekend’s box office.
Back in first place was “Wonka,” which earned just under $24 million, followed by “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” which pulled in $19.5 million, Comscore reported.
“Migration,” in its second week in theaters, increased its earnings by nearly $5 million $17.2 million to again finish in third.
In addition to the top two grossing films of the last couple of weeks — a prequel and a sequel — Warner Bros. also had the fourth-highest-grossing pic, with a reimagined film, “The Color Purple,” which made $13 million over the weekend.
Sony’s “Anyone But You” finished in fifth place, with $9 million.
Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were “The Boys in the Boat ($8.3 million), “The Iron Claw ($5 million), Ferarri ($4.1 million), “Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes ($2.9 million) and The Boy and the Heron ($2.5 million).
