A ruptured gas line at a Wildomar residence required immediate repairs but no evacuations Wednesday.

The gas leak was reported at about 10:40 a.m. in the 33000 block of Windmill Road, near Harvest Way, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said an engine crew was sent to the location and encountered a strong gas odor emanating from a compromised line adjacent to a residence.

Officials said the pipe was struck by an object, but no further details were immediately available.

Firefighters requested an immediate response from SoCal Gas, and a technician arrived just after 11 a.m.

No evacuations or shelter-in-place orders were imposed as a result of the leak.

Repairs were underway as of 11:30 a.m.
