A fire in a second-floor apartment in Wilmington was extinguished in 14 minutes by 32 firefighters Friday evening with no injuries reported.
The fire was reported at 9:42 p.m. and firefighters responded to the garden-style apartment building at 1210 E. Sandison St., about a half-mile north of Pacific Coast Highway, where they began defensive measures before attacking the flames, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Bert Fierro.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Fierro said.
