A woman killed in a crash in the Commerce area was publicly identified Sunday.
Madelynne Broyles was 19 years old, according to the Medical Examiner’s office. Her city of residence was not immediately disclosed.
Nineteen-year-old Luke Garcia was also killed in the crash.
The crash occurred shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday at the Slauson Avenue off-ramp of the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident involved a tan sedan that was stopped on the right shoulder at the off-ramp, the CHP reported. The agency ordered two tow trucks to pick up vehicles that could be used as evidence, indicating more than one vehicle was involved.
Garcia and Broyles were pronounced dead at the scene.
