A motorcycle rider was killed Saturday evening when the vehicle crashed into a light pole in Menifee.
The crash was reported at 9:16 p.m. Saturday at Menifee Road and Loire Valley Lane, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The motorcycle caught fire in the crash and it spread to nearby ornamental vegetation, fire officials said. The fire was out at 9:24 p.m.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, the officials said. The person’s identity was being withheld pending family notification.
