Firefighters were able to fully contain a 48-acre brush fire in Riverside, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The fire was reported at 4:31 p.m. Saturday in the 20500 block of Hill Top Drive, according to county fire officials.

The spread of the flames was described as moderate and threatened multiple structures.

According to fire officials, the fire was 50% contained at 6:40 p.m., and fully contained late Saturday.

No injuries were reported. City of Riverside firefighters assisted in the effort.
