Firefighters battled a brush fire Sunday that burned about three acres in Sage.
The fire was reported around 11:40 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Empty Saddle Trail and Red Mountain Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The forward progress of the fire was stopped around 1:25 p.m. and the fire was mapped at 2.47 acres, according to the fire department.
No injuries or evacuations were immediately reported.
Multiple air and ground resources were assigned to the scene, and expected to remain there for roughly four hours performing mop-up.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
