A Silver Alert was issued on behalf of an 83-year-old woman reported missing after being last seen in Fullerton Friday.
Rose Verkamp was last seen Friday near the intersection of East Glenwood Avenue and Stanford Avenue around 3 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Verkamp was described as a 5-foot-3-inch tall woman weighing 175 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing navy blue sweatpants and black shoes and is believed to be traveling on foot.
Anyone with information regarding Verkamp’s whereabouts was urged to contact 911.
The CHP issued the alert on behalf of the Fullerton Police Department.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
