The forward progress of a brush fire burning approximately half an acre near Magic Mountain in the Angeles National Forest Sunday was halted.
Flames were reported around 4:15 p.m. Sunday, burning east of Soledad Canyon Road near the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Santa Clarita, according to ANF officials.
No structures were threatened, and the fire had a slow rate of spread, according to authorities. No road closures were planned.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department was assisting in responding to the fire.
