A 72-year-old man who was reported missing after being last seen in Long Beach, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert, has been located, authorities announced Tuesday.
Thomas Reed was last seen near the intersection of East Seventh Street and Navy Way around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
He has since been located, but no details were provided about when or where he was found.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
