Firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department rescued a hiker with a medical emergency at a trail near Pinyon Pines Sunday.
Crews responded to the Cactus Springs Trail just after noon Sunday to a report of a hiker with a medical emergency in a remote area of the trail.
Firefighters made access to the hiker and began medical treatment for an unknown minor medical complaint. The hiker was subsequently taken to a hospital by ground ambulance.
