A motorcycle crash shut down several lanes of the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway Tuesday morning in Pacoima, backing up traffic on the busy route.
The rider’s condition was not immediately known.
The crash was reported at 4:50 a.m. near Osborne Street.
A car fire also broke out slightly north of the crash location, further snarling traffic as the morning rush got underway in earnest.
At one point, the connector to the southbound Hollywood (170) was also down from three lanes to one.
A SigAlert was issued at 5:45 a.m.
