A man was killed Tuesday when his vehicle overturned on eastbound Interstate 10 in Thousand Palms.
The crash was reported shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday east of Monterey Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 2003 red Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on I-10 when the truck left the roadway, overturned onto the right shoulder and landed in its roof, according to CHP Officer David Torres.
It was not immediately known what triggered the crash.
The driver, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
All lanes were open, Torres said.
