The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County inched up two-tenths of a cent Friday to $4.434, its second consecutive slight increase after dropping to its lowest amount since Jan. 4, 2025.

The average price is 2.5 cents less than one week ago and 26.4 cents less than one month ago, but 2.2 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.06 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price also rose two-tenths of a cent to $4.314, two days after dropping to its lowest amount since Dec. 20, 2024.

The Orange County average price is 2.6 cents less than one week ago, 31.1 cents less than one month ago and 2.6 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $2.145 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $2.83. It is 1.8 cents less than one week ago, 16.8 cents less than one month ago and 23.7 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $2.186 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
