Firefighters Saturday rescued a hiker from a remote area in a trail northeast of Indio Hills.
Crews responded to the trail north of Terra Lago Golf Club around 9:10 a.m. Saturday to a report of a hiker with a lower extremity injury, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The hiker was extracted from the trail with minor injuries, officials said.
An awaiting ground ambulance took the hiker to a hospital.
