Firefighters Saturday battled a 2 1/2-acre vegetation fire in Mead Valley.
The fire was reported around 3:10 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Mack and Brown streets, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Fire crews, including air personnel, were able to stop the forward rate of spread shortly after arrival.
Firefighters predicted remaining on scene for about three hours for mop-up.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was not immediately available.
