The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent Wednesday to $6.205.
The average price is 2.4 cents less than one week ago, but 27.7 cents more than one month ago and $1.39 more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It has risen $1.511 since the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, moving within 28.9 cents of the record $6.494 set Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped a half-cent to $6.167. It is 2.5 cents less than one week ago, but 32 cents more than one month ago and $1.429 more than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has risen $1.531 since the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, moving within 29.2 cents of the record $6.459 set Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose 2.2 cents to $4.555. It is 4.4 cents more than one week ago, 51.3 cents more than one month ago and $1.378 more than one year ago. The national average price has risen $1.573 since the attack on Iran, moving within 46.1 cents of the record $5.016 set June 14, 2022.
