Firefighters Sunday were battling a brush fire in Nuevo that had burned at least 10 acres, according to a report Sunday.
The fire was reported around 4:20 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Chastity and Pulsar View roads, according to the nonprofit wildfire-information service Watch Duty.
Responding firefighters requested five additional wildland engines, two hand crews, two air tankers and an additional helicopter, according to Watch Duty, which added that there was no immediate threat to structures, but firefighters on scene reported a potential for 200 acres.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
No injuries have been reported.
