A man who was found shot to death inside a vehicle in Los Angeles’ Westlake District was identified Monday by county authorities.
Cesar Velasquez, 41, of Baldwin Park died about 4 a.m. Sunday in the area of Sixth and Witmer streets, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office.
A woman who was shot at a party transported herself to a hospital, authorities said.
Investigators determined that Velasquez had attended the same party and became involved in an altercation with multiple people, one of whom produced a handgun and opened fire, authorities said.
The woman was listed in stable condition, according to the LAPD’s Media Relations.
No suspect description was released.
