One person was killed Thursday on a freeway transition road in Pomona in a crash involving a motorcyclist.
The crash was reported at 6:29 a.m. on the transition road from the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway to the southbound Chino Valley (71) Freeway in the Phillips Ranch section of Pomona, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, an officer in the CHP Los Angeles-area Traffic Information Center said.
The transition road was shut down and a SigAlert was issued following the crash. All lanes were reopened about 11 a.m., according to the CHP.
