An 18-year-old man who was fatally struck by a vehicle on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Burbank was identified Monday.
The man was struck at about 12:45 a.m. Sunday on the southbound freeway, just north of Alameda Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was identified Monday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Joseph Aguilar.
No further information was immediately available, and it was unclear why the man was on the freeway.
