Three people — including two fire department personnel — were injured as the result of a structure fire in Los Angeles’ Westlake District Saturday.
The fire was reported just before 1 p.m. at 525 S. Union Ave., east of MacArthur Park, where an outside fire extended into a two-story apartment building, a house and a recreational vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A civilian was rescued from a structure during the fire. That person and two LAFD members were hospitalized and all were said to be in stable condition. The nature of their injuries was not disclosed.
Additional resources were requested during the firefight, with the Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Department of Transportation assisting at the scene.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
