Police Thursday night turned to the public for information that could lead them to whoever shot and killed a 43-year-old man in Boyle Heights.
Hector Robles was gunned down about 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of South Bernal Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Robles was approached by an unknown suspect who pulled a handgun and fired multiple rounds, police said.
Officers in the area heard the shots and found Robles mortally wounded, according to the LAPD.
Firefighters pronounced him dead at the scene.
