Police asked the public’s help Monday in locating a statue of the late CBS variety show host Ed Sullivan, stolen from its pedestal at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in North Hollywood.
The statue was taken Sunday in the academy’s Hall of Fame Plaza in the 5200 block of Lankershim Boulevard, police said.
The solid bronze statue weighs about 20 pounds and is 6 feet 1 inches tall. It was in an outdoor exhibit along with statues of several other television legends.
Anyone with information about the crime was asked to call North Hollywood burglary detectives at (818) 623-4081.
