A woman was critically wounded in a shooting in Pomona, police said Thursday.
Officers were dispatched about 10 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of a shooting victim in the 1300 block of Holt Avenue, said Pomona police Sgt. Steve Congalton.
When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper body, he said.
The woman was flown to a hospital in critical condition, Congalton said.
The motive for the shooting was not known, he said.
Witnesses who saw a man leaving the scene on a bicycle told police they believed he had some involvement in the shooting, Congalton said.
