A man was shot and wounded Wednesday afternoon in the southwest area of Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported about 1 p.m. in the 2000 block of West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, said Los Angeles police Officer Nuria Vanegas. The wounded man was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive.
Police sought at least one man who ran from the scene. A silver Dodge Challenger was seen leaving the area around the time of the crime and may have been involved, police said.
