A man suffered a head injury and a broken leg when he was struck by a black SUV in a hit-and-run accident in unincorporated Westmont, the California Highway Patrol reported Monday.
The incident in the 1300 block of West 97th Street was reported at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, said CHP Officer Monica Posada.
The victim was identified as Armando Olivas, 36, of Los Angeles. He was bleeding heavily when transported to Harbor UCLA Medical Center, Posada said.
The vehicle that struck the man was a black SUV that left the scene, she said. The incident was under investigation, she said.
