Two drivers were critically injured Tuesday in a crash involving a big rig and a car on the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway and Gaffey Street in San Pedro.
The wreck, which blocked the entire northbound freeway and two southbound lanes, was reported about 2:10 p.m., according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The big rig’s trailer wound up on top of the car, about a quarter-mile away from the truck’s cab, officials said. Both drivers had to be extricated and were taken to hospitals.
