Three people were shot Friday night, with one critically wounded, in the parking lot of an In-N-Out Burger in San Pedro.

The victims, all males, were sitting in a car in the parking lot after a football game between San Pedro and Banning high schools, Los Angeles Police Officer R. Perez said. About 500 to 600 people were gathered at the scene, Perez said.

The shooting occurred at 10:30 p.m. Friday, near the intersection of North Western Avenue and Capitol Drive and the border with Rancho Palos Verdes, Perez said.

The critically injured patient, aged 15, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, but was in stable condition and expected to survive, LAPD Sgt. Joel Sydanmaa said.

The other victims, ages 19 and 17, suffered injuries to an arm and a buttock, Sydanmaa said.

The suspect was described as a male wearing a hooded sweatshirt, Sydanmaa said.
