Fourteen women and two men were arrested in a multi-agency investigation targeting prostitution in Pomona, police announced Friday.
The operation was conducted Thursday afternoon and evening by the Pomona Police Department’s Vice Unit with assistance from the FBI, Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services and the county Probation Department, according to Pomona police.
“Although this operation was geared toward arresting prostitutes for soliciting sex in the public, there were two male suspects arrested for seeking out prostitutes for sexual acts as well,” according to a police statement.
The arrested women ranged in age from 18 to 51 and the men were 26 and 62 years old, police said.
