A motorist was killed Friday when his car struck a curb and a concrete light stand in the Chesterfield Square section of South Los Angeles.

Jacob Earl Cray, 22, of Los Angeles died about 1:20 a.m. at the scene of the crash, which occurred on Florence Avenue near Raymond Avenue, coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter said.

He was behind the wheel of a Hyundai Genesis that was eastbound on Florence Avenue when it crashed, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division. No other vehicles were believed to be involved.
