Pomona police on Wednesday announced the arrests of two men on suspicion of stealing a car and burglarizing a home.
Salvador Murillo, 30, the driver, and Joseph Montoya, 40, were booked on suspicion of auto theft and burglary, according to Pomona police.
Officer Karen Callaghan spotted the vehicle near Grand Avenue and Huntington Street about 6:25 p.m. Tuesday and called for backup, police said.
The suspects soon ditched the car but were arrested in a search of the area.
Police were able to turn over the car to its owners, along with some items taken from their home. The suspects apparently found the keys while burglarizing the home.
A neighbor also reported a car being broken into, and police recovered an item taken from it.
Anyone with more information about the suspects was asked to call detectives at (909) 620-2085.
