A Long Beach man who molested two young girls is facing a potential life prison term when he is sentenced in January, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.

Jurors deliberated less than a day before finding William Edward Burch, 45, guilty late Wednesday of one count each of oral copulation with a child 10 years old or younger, using a minor for sex acts, child molesting and lewd act upon a child, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Burch sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl in October 2011 and molested a 9-year-old girl in 2013, according to Deputy District Attorney Kelly Kelley.

He was arrested by Long Beach police in February 2013.

Burch is due back in a Long Beach courtroom for sentencing Jan. 8.
