A Baldwin Park man walking on a sidewalk was shot and wounded Monday, suffering what were described as moderate injuries.
The victim was taken home from the shooting scene, then brought to County-USC Medical Center by paramedics, Sgt. Darryl Kosaka told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
The shooting in the 4300 block of Harlan Avenue occurred about noon.
Lt. David Reynoso of the Baldwin Park Police Department said search warrants had been served, and while he didn’t know if anyone had been arrested, “we have some good leads.”
One witness who was afraid to give his name said he heard four shots, then one man was walking away calmly and the other was running.
