Two men were charged Tuesday with attacking a soap opera actor in a Hollywood parking lot on Thanksgiving Day.
Dusan Lilic, 26, and Nikola Ilic, 23, are charged with one count each of battery with serious bodily injury and assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury.
Lilic is additionally charged with one count each of assault with a deadly weapon, driving under the influence causing injury and driving with a 0.08 percent blood alcohol content causing injury.
The two entered not guilty pleas late this afternoon and are due back at a downtown Los Angeles courthouse on Dec. 22 to get a date for a preliminary hearing.
Prosecutors said actor Corey Sligh was walking with a girlfriend and a friend to deliver Thanksgiving dinner to another friend when they saw a car being driven erratically in the parking lot.
Lilic allegedly opened the car door, striking Sligh, after the actor asked him to stop and leave. Sligh was then hit by the car, which sped off.
Prosecutors allege the two men then returned and began beating Sligh, who suffered a broken arm and other injuries.
If convicted as charged, Lilic faces up to seven years in state prison and Ilic up to four years behind bars, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Sligh — who has appeared on the CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless” — posted on Twitter that he hoped “to heal up in the next few weeks with Rehab and family.”
