A man was killed in an officer-involved shooting and the woman he was attacking before he was shot is in serious condition, police said Wednesday.
The suspect died at a hospital after he was shot by one or more officers in the 600 block of South Wall Street around 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, said Los Angeles police Sgt. John Vasquez.
Vasquez said the suspect was confronted by officers after he stabbed a woman at what is believed to be a homeless shelter. The victim, a woman in her 40s, was hospitalized in serious-to-critical condition, Vasquez said.
