A motorcycle rider was killed and his passenger suffered moderate injuries in a head-on collision with a car in Lancaster, authorities said Friday.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Gadsden Avenue and Avenue K around 10:25 p.m. Thursday, said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. David Jennings.
Jennings said it appears the driver of the car, a 2000 Lexus headed north on Gadsden, turned left into Avenue K and into the path of the oncoming motorcycle, a 2001 Kawasaki.
The deceased motorcyclist was not identified, other than as a male residing in Lancaster. His passenger was a female.
