A 31-year-old man was stabbed to death in Lomita early Saturday.

The attack was at 12:30 a.m. in the 26000 block of South Western Avenue, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Trina Schrader said.

Deputies arriving at the scene in response to an “assault victim” call found the man lying on the sidewalk being treated by paramedics for stab wounds, said Lt. John Corina of the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau.

The victim was transported to a hospital, where he died, Schrader said.

“Witnesses said they heard some type of disturbance and found the victim lying on the sidewalk bleeding from his wounds,” Corina said.

There was a party at the location. according to media reports.

Deputies asked anyone with any information regarding the stabbing attack to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
