A man’s body was found Wednesday when firefighters extinguished a blaze in an alley behind a 7-Eleven store in Inglewood, a county fire captain said.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 11000 block of La Brea Avenue about 6 a.m. on a report of a blaze in the alley, county fire Capt. Pete Mora said.
“When our firefighters extinguished the flames, they found the body of a man there at the scene,” Mora told City News Service. “At that point since it was a DOA (dead on arrival), we turned it over to the Inglewood police for investigation.”
The man’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
