A woman was shot in the leg in Hyde Park in an apparent domestic dispute by her gang-member spouse, a police sergeant said Saturday.

The shooting occurred at 11:15 p.m. Friday at 10th and Florence avenues, said Sgt. Thomas Bojorquez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Station.

The woman was driving her vehicle when “another vehicle drove alongside her and the suspect fired into her vehicle, striking her in the leg,” Bojorquez said.

The victim was transported to a hospital where her vital signs were stable, he said.

Investigators consider the shooting domestic and gang related because the suspect is a gang member, Bojorquez said.
