Three suspects tied up two residents of a Hacienda Heights home and ransacked it for about two hours Sunday, stealing nearly $4,000 in cash and jewelry, a sheriff’s sergeant said.
The robbery began at about 5 p.m. at a home in the 2000 block of Nadula Drive, sheriff’s Sgt. R. Thurlo said.
The woman was punched in the face and suffered a lacerated lip, Thurlo said.
The couple freed themselves and called 911 when the suspects left at about 7 p.m., the sergeant said.
“We don’t know if (the residents) were followed home or how (the suspects) selected that residence,” Thurlo said.
