The Calcom Federal Credit Union in Torrance was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday and at least one shot was fired, but no one was injured, authorities said.

The holdup occurred about 11:40 a.m. in the 20700 block of Hawthorne Boulevard, said Torrance police Lt. Kyle Goffney. At least three suspects were being sought, he said.

According to the FBI, which sent investigators to the scene, the crime was a takeover-style robbery.

NBC4 reported that the robbers got away with at least $33,000 from the credit union.
