A 23-year-old man was found shot to death in the hallway of an apartment building in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles early Wednesday.
The victim was found on the fourth floor of the building in the 1800 block of West Fifth Street around 2:05 a.m., said Los Angeles police Sgt. Melvin Gamble.
Assistant Coroner Chief Ed Winter identified the man as Juan Amado Ipzep-Mazariegos of Los Angeles.
Someone reported hearing a gunshot, but no witnesses have been located, Gamble said.
