One person was killed Friday in an accident on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Irwindale, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred near Rivergrade Road around 3:35 a.m.
No details of the incident were immediately available, but the CHP reported that a body was seen lying in the freeway’s southbound lanes. The victim may have been changing a tire on the freeway side of a vehicle.
