The discovery of “suspicious packages” near a Metro Expo Line station in the Jefferson Park area on Wednesday prompted authorities to close a section of tracks, disrupting rail service for about two hours.

The items were discovered in the of Crenshaw Boulevard between Jefferson Boulevard and Rodeo Road late this morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Buses were brought in to ferry rail passengers around the area while an investigation was conducted.

The area was declared safe about 12:30 p.m., Metro reported.
